Use hello@ for a bug, a billing question about BORED Plus, a safety concern, or feedback on the app. For a request about your own data (access, correction, deletion, or a privacy-rights request), write to privacy@boredmap.com instead. For a copyright notice or counter-notice, use copyright@boredmap.com — see our Copyright Policy for what to include.
If you were shown in a photo you didn't consent to and want it removed, tell us at hello@boredmap.com with a link or description of the photo — we're building a dedicated no-account-needed form for this and will link it here once it's live.
How to report or block someone, in the app
Reporting and blocking are built into bored., though not yet on every surface:
- Block — open the person's profile or your conversation with them, and choose Block. It's instant and silent: they aren't notified, and neither of you will see the other again.
- Report a profile or a chat — open the profile or conversation, choose Report, and pick a reason. Reports go to a person on our team, not just an automated system, and we act on credible reports.
- Report a plan — reachable the same way, from the plan's own menu.
- Community posts and Moments — reporting these surfaces is still being built. Until it is, write to hello@boredmap.com with a link or description and we'll act on it directly.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first — see our Safety Tips for country-specific numbers — then report it to us as well.
How to delete your account, in the app
Go to Me → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and removes your profile, activity posts, pins and messages from active use, subject to the limited retention described in our Privacy Policy (for example, information we must keep briefly for safety, security or legal reasons).
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a BORED Plus subscription — manage or cancel that separately in your Apple Account subscription settings (on your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
